In recent years, a range of funding programs at the European, national, and regional level have been rolled out to accelerate the deployment of charging infrastructure, targeting businesses, homeowners' associations, and local authorities alike.

Although the specific terms vary from one call for applications to the next, most of these grants share common requirements: the installation must comply with current regulations (IEC 61851, IEC 62196, CE marking), the equipment must be properly invoiced and registered, and the expense must be documented with technical paperwork from the supplier.

A common mistake is starting the installation before receiving grant approval, which in many programs automatically disqualifies the application. It therefore pays to plan the project well in advance and work with a supplier able to provide all the required technical documentation from day one.

As a manufacturer, our role in these processes is typically to provide the datasheets, certificates, and detailed quotes that the customer needs to submit their application; the administrative side of the grant itself should always be checked against the specific program in force at the time, in the relevant region.
